Tips on Improving the Quality of SEO Blogs
Tips on Improving the Quality of SEO Blogs - SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is an important term when we talk about the digital world. A brand will be easier to find if the brand has a presence in a strong digital world. In this case SEO has a very important role. With good SEO, quality content can appear in Google search listings.
Dan Clarke, Disruptient Founder and CEO talks about SEO strategies that can be used at the startup we are building. Disruptient itself is a well-known SEO and digital agency headquartered in Singapore, having a spread portfolio of clients ranging from Asia to the Middle East. One of Dan Clarke's famous clients is Nissan, Adidas, and Zalora.
Dan Clarke categorizes these 12 tips in 3 simple rules, here are the comments:
1. Indexing
Control how Google indexes the sites we create. To do this, we can tell Google not to copy the page to their server by using the "NOINDEX" tag. In addition, you can also use the file "robots.txt" and "sitemap.xml".
This is very helpful in filtering what pages we want to display on Google. So, we can eliminate the test page, when let's say we are developing a site, or special pages that don't want to be published to Google.
2. Accessibility
Google has difficulty running Client Side Scripts like JavaScript. So, avoid excessive use of JavaScript. In addition, make sure the content is inside the source code so that when JavaScript cannot be loaded, users can still read the content we make.
3. Site Access Speed
Responsive sites with loading speed will have high priority in search results. In addition, Google will also penalize sites that are not mobile-friendly by lowering the ranking of sites that we have.
4. High Quality Content Content
optimization is the main strength of SEO. Google evaluates a site page based on the quality of the content they offer to users. Again, Google wants their search results to help users get the information they are looking for.
5. Keyword
Use of keywords is an important part of SEO. One main rule is to search for keywords that are often searched by the market.
6. Content Structure
Write content with high editorial quality. Try to have the content on a page have a minimum number of 350 words with a maximum number of 1,500 words. If too much content is repetitive or the content is less "filled", Google will assume that our site is spam and is likely to be penalized.
7. Page Elements
This is a technical point in SEO optimization. When we build a site, make sure each URL has HTML tags such as Title Tags, Description tags, Headers, and Content. In addition, we can enter canonical tags and OG tags or opengraph to associate pages with social media accounts that we have.
8. Keyword Density
Use just the right keywords. Use the right ratio of keywords and write content with the main purpose of giving information to others.
9. Duplicating Content
One content must have one URL. If we have the same content as say an e-commerce site with a variety of similar products, we can use canonical tags that act as URL directors.
10. Build Links into
Links from external sites can be said as a vote for our site in the eyes of Google. This is a very important factor because other metrics can be falsified, but the use of this link is not easy or even impossible to fake. Links from sites that have a high ranking illustrate the relevance and importance of the sites we make.
11. Source Link
Not all sites have the same link value. Sites with high reputation have a better "link value". And say that if we get a few links from quality sources, it's better than getting lots of links from non-quality sites.
12. Paid Link
Buying links is the most taboo thing to do. And not recommended. But if it must be done in advertorial or otherwise, make sure we tag "NOFOLLOW" on the link.
